Who is Jesus Christ

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

(Text Version)

Jesus Christ was a man Who lived on earth. Somewhere around 1-6 BC, the Holy Spirit was sent by God to overshadow Mary.   As a result, she became pregnant and gave birth to God’s Holy Son, Jesus.  Jesus’ Father was literally God and His mother was Mary.  His birth, life and death were prophesied throughout the Old and New Testaments, fulfilling well over 300 prophesies.

Luke 1:26-35 NLT

In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, 27 to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. 28 Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!”  29 Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. 30 “Don’t be frightened, Mary,” the angel told her, “for God has decided to bless you! 31 You will become pregnant and have a son, and you are to name him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!” 34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can I have a baby? I am a virgin.”  35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby born to you will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.

Isa 7:14 NLT

All right then, the Lord himself will choose the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel — ‘God is with us.’

Jesus taught us about God, His Father, and told us the truth about God’s kingdom.  Jesus faithfully did everything He saw and heard His Father do in heaven.  Even though He was thoroughly tempted as we are, scripture tells us He was the only man to live His life without sin.  He understands our weaknesses and He still intercedes for us today.  So, we cling to Him and His prayers are helping us overcome just as He did.

John 5:19-20  NKJV

“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

John 8:28 NKJV

I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.

Heb 4:14-16  NLT

That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.

Heb 7:25  AMP

Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

Jesus willingly accepted His Father’s desire to give His life as a sacrifice.  The Father did not force His will upon Jesus.  It was very hard for Jesus to accept this cup, but the Father helped Him and Jesus chose to give His life.  The sacrifice of His death paid for our sins so that we would be forgiven and we could also come to God as Jesus did.  Jesus was the greatest gift of love that the Father could have given us.  Jesus’ life was the greatest gift of love that He could have given the Father.  Both of them chose to love and forgive those who believe on His Name.

John 10:17-18 NLT

“The Father loves me because I lay down my life that I may have it back again.  18 No one can take my life from me. I lay down my life voluntarily. For I have the right to lay it down when I want to and also the power to take it again. For my Father has given me this command.”

Luke 22:42-45 NLT

“Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine.”  43 Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him. 44 He prayed more fervently, and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood.

John 3:16-17 NKJV

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

1 John 2:2 NLT

He is the sacrifice for our sins. He takes away not only our sins but the sins of all the world.

In these last days, there shall be many fearful events come upon the earth. Sudden destruction shall come.  Scripture promises that as many as call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.  Remember the thief who died on the cross next to Jesus.  In his last moments, he asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His kingdom.  And Jesus promised that they would be together that very day.

Rom 10:13  NKJV

For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved .”

Joel 2:30-32  NKJV

“And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.  The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.  32 And it shall come to pass  That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.

Acts 2:19-21  NKJV

I will show wonders in heaven above  And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.  20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.  21 And it shall come to pass  That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’

Luke 23:40-43  NLT

But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you are dying? 41 We deserve to die for our evil deeds, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”  43 And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

MY VISION OF JESUS

On 11/03/04 I received a vision of Jesus when He was on the cross before He was crucified.

I was crouching at the stump of the tree that was cut down to make the cross of Jesus. I looked over and saw the Lord Jesus laying on the ground on the wooden cross, before they had nailed His hand. I watched them take the mallet hammer and pound the nail into His palm. I knew that He was on the cross in my stead and it was so very painful to see this.

I heard Him say these Words to me:  “Your need for a friend, I bore that weight, bore your pain.  Every living soul I took upon Myself. My daughter I bore your shame. I know how it feels to get wounded. Thoroughly alone; abandonment, I bore that too. The need to belong, that too. I did this so you may heal. Wounds too deep to understand. The weight of your wait. I carried you. All the way down through history, I saw your face. All alone. I took your place.

A Friend, I’m still here, I never left you. I am your Friend. You’ve got Me. All of Me. I wholly and freely give Myself to you. I am here 24/7 abiding with you. I want to hear what you have to say. It’s you I want. All of you.”

{end vision}

If you want to hear God speak to you, you need to go through Jesus Christ and accept Him as your personal Savoir Who died for your sins.  Jesus said no one can come to the Father except through Him.

John 14:6  NKJV

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

A PRAYER TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST
AS YOUR SAVIOR

If you would like to go to heaven when you die, and if you would like the joy of knowing God while you are on earth, then pray this prayer.

Dear Father, I realize that I need You to save me from my sins.  I believe You sent Your Son Jesus Christ to earth to die for me.  I believe that His death paved the way so that I could go to heaven when I die and so that I could also know You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit while I am on earth.

Please God, forgive me of my many sins.  In my self-centered heart, I have hurt many people, hurt myself and most of all hurt You.  I don’t want to hurt any more.  Please take my life and replace it with Your own.  Yes, exchange my life for Yours, dear Lord, I want to live to love You, myself and others.  Please clean me up, deliver me from my sin and demons and make me a holy vessel fit for Your use.  I want to be Your child, and live for You and make a difference on earth.  I want to carry Your glory and power and lead others to You too.

I accept that I am now born again into Your kingdom.  I ask that You will fill me with the Holy Spirit and that I may start my life in You with the joy of learning about You in the Bible and also getting to know the Holy Spirit, Who teaches me all things.  Please open my eyes to know You and understand when I read Your Words, Lord.  In Jesus Name.

John 3:15-17  NKJV

…that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

1 John 4:9-10 NLT

God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
