6/16/23 ZEAL WITH KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS

HEARD: My arms of love. Fresh fire and zeal.

Romans 10:2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

When I heard the word FRESH and connected it with zeal, I felt the Lord was asking if I desired for Him to pour out His fiery zeal upon me one more time. Since 1984 when He called me, I have run 2 passionate races back to back without resting in between. I know according to a trance vision I had in the 80’s that I have 3 races to run. I am in a season of rest as I wait upon Him for the third.

However when I heard this, I also thought of the scripture about having zeal without knowledge. For some reason I always connected zeal without knowledge as serving God with our own ideas and not His ideas. I did not connect that on a deeper level that zeal without knowledge in context is all about trying to serve God with our own righteousness of being good and doing good and thinking that makes us righteous in His sight, winning His approval and favor. Since Adam was first created, history has proven that we simply are not righteous on our own, we will always fail without His help. As I pondered this, I heard:

HEARD: Centered on Me. The design. The heavenly blueprint. From filthy rags to riches. I have adopted you as My own. You belong to Me.

He imparts righteousness to us when we accept that Jesus was righteous in our stead when He died on the cross for our sins. One of the Names of God is The Lord our Righteousness. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we become born again and are adopted by God. His God seed comes into us through His Spirit and we grow up in Him from that day forward. His Name is righteousness, and we ARE His righteous seed because He says so!

Romans 10:2-13 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes. 5 For Moses describes the righteousness which is of the law, That the man who does those things shall live by them.

6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaks thus, Say not in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what says it? The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name by which he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Romans 4:22-25 And therefore it was imputed to him (Abraham) for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.

WORD TO PONDER: MY RIGHTEOUSNESS WITHIN YOU 6/16/23

Precious child I have witnessed your comings and your goings. I have seen your successes and failures. I know how hard you try to please Me, to give Me pleasure. You have totally won my heart precious one, not because of your successes, but because I see how hard you have tried throughout the years. You give Me pleasure because you check in with Me, asking Me if your choice will give Me pleasure. Then it gives Me such pleasure when you ask Me for help to make a right choice and then follow through with that choice. My joy is in your clinging to Me as your Source and our mutual fellowship in your trusting Me to help you accomplish what you cannot do on your own. My joy is in your persistent faith and trust in Me.

You have learned so many lessons about righteousness in your journey with Me. In trying to obey My Word, you learned obedience as a slave to his Master. And you learned your flesh couldn’t do that on its own. In trying to gain more of Me, you have learned that no matter whether you belly flop or rise in victory, My love for you does not change. You cannot win My approval dear one, you are My child and you already belong to Me! Finally in your reciprocal love for Me, you have earnestly desired to give Me pleasure. Through many ups and downs you have learned that your success at being righteous in My eyes is totally based on what Jesus did for you because you could not do it on your own. Your righteousness is always through faith and reliance on Me. Because you are righteous in Me, always walk worthy of such, in My righteous ways.
