Entering Through Thanksgiving and Praise

ENTERING IN THROUGH
THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE

One of the most powerful lessons I have learned in ministry is how much it means to God when we say thank You.  To say thank You to God brings climax to each gift He sends.

When we become good parents, we teach our children how to say thank you by saying thank you to them.  We look for their good gifts, qualities and expressions and remember to tell them thank you.  We learn how God feels when our kids reciprocate with joy and relationship in regards to our gifts.

Often when I come to Him I start listing all the things I am thankful for, regarding Who He is to me.  I become so refreshed by just the rehearsal of His wonderful qualities and gifts as His Presence sweeps over my gratefulness with His own thank yous.

1 Thess 5:18-19 NKJV

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.   Do not quench the Spirit.

Matt 7:11-12 NKJV

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Psalms 100:1-4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all you lands. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know you that the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Notice in the these scriptures we use our mouths.  Scripture says that our mouth is a DOOR.  (That is quite a revelation when we begin to apply that in all areas of our lives.)

Psalms 141:3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.

The Lord chooses to sit down and dwell, remain, abide and marry the praises of His people!  Sometimes I turn on worship music that focuses on loving Him and then I sing to Him and use my hands to worship Him as though they are dancing.  I can do this in my chair and my bed and feel His Presence in such a warm melting way as I invite the Holy Spirit to come.

Psalms 22:3 But you are holy, O you that inhabit {3427} the praises of Israel.

WORD TO PONDER

WHEN YOU PRAISE  AT YOUR WAILING WALL

Beloved one, it is My will that in every area of your life, you learn to rejoice and be thankful.  When you turn your heart, mind, emotions off your miseries and love Me, you have no idea how that confounds your enemies.  I know your deepest wailings and agony and it blesses Me with such honor when you choose to thank Me; trusting in My goodness, My justice and My Sovereignty as I encourage you to overcome and place all evil beneath your feet.

Dear one, when you suffer and yet thank Me and praise Me, it honors Me before all enemies.  For it proves and manifests in heaven and hell that love is stronger than death.  It declares to all that good triumphs over evil.  When you call upon My Name and declare Me worthy to be praised, there you shall be saved from your enemies.

1 Thess 5:18  AMP

Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

2 Sam 22:4 NKJV

I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
