THE “GLADNESS” OF THE LORD

8/17/21 THE “GLADNESS” OF THE LORD

In this morning’s devotions, I heard the Lord say the following to me. I knew He was addressing my complaints from last night. I rarely complain to the Lord, but last night my prayer was one big complain!

HEARD:  Humility. Perspective. To see things differently. You graduated. What’s behind you is behind you. Yesterday is gone sweet one. My goodness is before you. See things differently.

Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

As I wrote down the above scripture in my journal, as it is my custom, I looked up the Heb meaning of goodness and wrote down the words: good, beauty, gladness, welfare, fair, joy, to go well with. My heart leaped when I got to the word GLADNESS and I happily remembered the time at home group when we worshipped the Lord with glad bags! I was very surprised that His goodness also encompassed gladness that it would go well with us.

Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary

masculine noun

CONFIRMATION: I didn’t hear any more, so I was drawn to go to my rhema archives on my website and scroll down the index page. When I do this, I always keep my eye on the right scroll bar so I never know what the Word will be when I stop scrolling. When I stopped, my eye landed on this Word!!!!! It was the time we worshipped the Lord with GLAD bags!

4/18/12 GLAD FOR THE LORD!

[Good morning Lord, do You have anything You would like to say today?]

HEARDI know you are tired Beloved, enjoy your day.

I decided to take the day off from the computer and do some scrapbooking since I haven’t had time since Jan. I had to clean off the counter and so as I was clearing it off, I started singing:

SONG: I’m trading my sorrows. I’m trading my pain. I’m trading my sickness for the joy of the Lord! Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes Lord YES!

CONFIRMATION:  By the time I finished round one, I came back to the counter for the next item and it was something that needed to go outside in the shop. It had screws with it so I thought it might be better kept in a glad bag. I am still singing the song, and the moment I sing, the last YES, I have opened the bag drawer and I am staring at the glad bag box that says a giant YES on it!

(Last year I had written in large black marker the word YES on it because I have 2 boxes that were different sized bags and I was always getting them mixed up.)

QUICKENED MEMORY: As I am astonished at such a precious Word from the Lord, He brings back to memory an old Word from the 90’s, when we worshipped the Lord with Glad Bags!

WORSHIPPED THE LORD WITH “GLAD” BAGS :O)

2/4/00: JOYOUS GLAD OVERCOMER

We were going through some very rough trials and the Lord broke through with a “funny” Word.

I Him say, Congratulations. You made it through. Then I turned with anointed hands to:

The opening of the door of hope. JOY restored.

WORSHIPPED WITH “GLAD” BAGS!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight at home group we worshipped with GLAD BAGS and sang the song, He has made me glad. Some waved the bags like banners. I put my legs in mine and sat in it while playing the keyboard. Another put it on his head. Another had one wrapped around his shoulders. We all blew in them and made them swell like balloons too. I think the Lord has a wonderful sense of humor and we experienced a lot of freedom!

Mark 10:14-16 NKJV

“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.

LYRICS: I’M TRADING MY SORROWS

I’m trading my sorrows

I’m trading my shame

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord

I’m trading my sickness

I’m trading my pain

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord

Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes yes Lord

Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes yes Lord

Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes yes Lord, Amen

I am pressed but not crushed,

Persecuted not abandoned

Struck down but not destroyed

I am blessed beyond the curse

For His promise will endure

That His joy is gonna be my strength

Though the sorrow may last for the night

His joy comes in the morning || Yes Lord ||

I’m trading my sorrows

I’m trading my shame

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord

I’m trading my sickness

I’m trading my pain

I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord || Yes Lord ||
