The BBQ Timer

THE BBQ TIMER!

Today I was BBQing some meat outside on the grill. I had set the kitchen timer for 6 minutes to remind me when to flip the meat over. So I sat down and continued to work on the computer. I was immersed in the Lord’s Words when suddenly I thought, “It must be about 6 minutes!”

 

Now for me to get out of my chair is a major hassle, due to pain in my knees and ankles. I have to grab this tube thinger that Wayne made for me, put it on the chair handle, then use my forearm to push the tube/ handle down in order to get the recliner into a normal position. Then I have to rock really hard to get a running start to leap up. Whenever the doorbell rings it takes me forever to answer the door!

So when I thought it must be about 6 minutes, I thought to the Lord, “I have just enough time to get out of this crazy chair and walk into the kitchen and then the buzzer will go off!”

 

I finally got up and walked to the kitchen. The moment my foot hit the kitchen floor, the timer buzzer went off! I was just tickled how God gives me this gift. If I tried to count time, I could never do it. But when I depend upon Him, He reminds me whenever I pray. I have been playing this timer game for years and years and He is always faithful to answer my prayer. I seem to operate more and more on timing instinct and I know it is His gift.

 

Jesus lives inside of us when we ask Him to.  The Bible says the more we rely on Him living inside of us, the more we will see the amazing things He does through us!  Divine timing is one of them.

Psalm 121:8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

 

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Dear child, I love to give you yummy meat to chew on as I am teaching you how I speak and how I work in your life.  I am teaching you that I have everything perfectly timed in your life.  Everything I do is exactly on time, down to the last dot and tittle. Even when things are late, they line up with My time and what I am doing.

Isa 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
